I didn't make the actual handbag, I embellished it with a small needlefelted piece. I love to do freeform needlefelting with my Embellisher. I gather up a variety of materials in different textures and colors that I love, and start punching them on a shape drawn on a piece of canvas. When I am finished I cut out the shape, being careful not to cut through any ribbons or fibers on the edges. At that point the piece can be sewn to something else, like this bag or a crazy quilt. I also back them with wool or ultrasuede with a pin back attached. It's too hard to hand sew through ultrasuede so I stick it on with E-6000.
