I have been working on a large wool appliqué quilt with embroidery details. I often visit Sue Spargo's website for shopping and inspiration.  Today Barbara Widmer's beautiful table runner is featured on Sue's blog. Barbara used a kit from Sue as a jumping-off point, but added her own embroidery and replaced fabrics with her own selections.  She loves cotton prints and added those as inner borders. 

Garden Lady by Mimi Kirchner

Today is a "wooly" day.  I also loved seeing Mimi Kirchner's dolls on Etsy.  They are so yummy and have such personality.  I love living in Michigan, but I would love to be Mimi's neighbor too!  Just so I could run over and sit and stitch with her. Mimi describes herself as "middle-aged artist loves wool". Cool!
