Piecework Magazine Hosts a "Heart" Challenge
Piecework Magazine is hosting an Excellence in Needle Arts Awards by hosting a Heart Ornament Contest. *Heart ornaments must incorporate at least one of the following techniques: needlework (embroidery, needlepoint, bead embroidery, ribbon embroidery, and/or cross-stitch), knitting, crochet, lace-making, tatting, or quilting. They must be hand-made and be no larger than 4” x 4”.
The original work (not a photograph, please) must be entered. Supplementary photographs about your work or progress are welcome.
Each entry must be accompanied by a $15 entry fee, checks payable to PieceWork Magazine. Limit of 3 heart ornaments per person. Each ornament must have its own entry form completed, along with $15 entry fee per ornament.
Heart ornament creations have to be postmarked no later than April 1, 2010.
The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA) is sponsoring the GRAND PRIZE of $500 cash! The grand prize will be awarded to the heart ornament that best fulfills the requirements.
